A Fusion of Traditional , Classic architecture & Modern architecture, Mazook house expresses a combination of two architectural languages with architectural elements , materials , shapes.
The site which is nearly about 22 perch is located in the heart of a busy & noisy city area inside Colombo. Surrounded with high risers and dense building footprints.
Solving simultaneously the response to the client & the site, who wanted a calm residential building with a good architectural character which will express a homely feel inside the noisy commercial city area….the solution embraces the length of the site & the surroundings, in this long site , locating the building close to the rear boundary, the design creates enough space to give a good visual of the Residence and space to create a better landscape design , which connects with architectural language of the building.
The massive sized white main solid structure with cylindrical columns creates a visual of a modern residence while the design combines with a traditional elements of tiled roof with columns, centre pivoted windows and exposed brick walls .
